A New Hope

THE LONG GAME:



Time isn't what makes us age. The slow breakdown of our chromosomes' abilities to replicate gets us.

So as time goes on we must be evolving towards our life purposes. If we are not doing this we are wasting our lives.

Yes I just finished doing 28 years in prison. However, I did not waste the time I was given the opportunity to learn through. I found the things that mean something to me. 

Now I will pursue them. 

My first post. Just something to get started with.

CORONA LOCK DOWN I was in prison for 28 years. I did substantial portions of that time in prison inside the prison. I prison we make light of many things. One of those things, that no one in prison actually wants to ever have to deal with, is prison inside the prison--solitary confinement or segregation. When you get in a fight that goes bad ( by you hurting someone too much) or you get confirmed as a gang member or you get in a physical confrontation with one of the guards that work at the prison you wind up in solitary confinement. You only get one hour of the day out of your cell. And that's only on the days the guards feel like it. You get to live around people that have slightly and completely lost their minds. YOU THINK YOU HAVE IT TOUGH: So there I was, in a day room surrounded buy dudes that were high, drunk, or just fucking weird in the head 24/7. Everyone around me was highly unpredictable. Another time, all the time, another place, every place, and now it's hostile, control freak guards yelling at, and attempting to bully inmates. At all times, you get the noise. It is never quiet in prison. At any time a guard can stop you, wherever you are at, and strip search you. And at certain times they always do. You get to go to work for 12 hours and get paid zero. You can steal to hustle, or choose not to. Your cell can be shaken down at anytime buy any guard with a hard on for you. You get to move around at designated times. You go to chow, to work, to get clothes, to the showers, to the recreation yard, to the day room, to school. Learn from your environment. Mainly, you will learn on your own.. LOST IN THE DARK The problem with knowledge is there is so much of it. And it is everywhere. How can you learn, how can you know, it all?? Some people do the wrong thing because doing the right thing, where they are from, is perceived as being just to hard. Sometimes. All the time. And maybe it's just that doing the right thing, where they are from, can get you killed. I could be wrong about this. Some people do everything, that is within their power to do, right and things still go horribly wrong for them. Is it all the result of some elaborate ancient curse bestowed on an ancestor for doing something wrong? Or is it some other form of thought contagion. Thought confetti. Images and information blown out in all directions. So all we see is the glowing orb in the sky. The image that tells us there is something else we should probably be focusing on.
